A Natural Collaboration
We have just wrapped on my penultimate film for my last year of university! This is a short non-fiction film focussing on Glendurgan Gardens in Falmouth, Cornwall, made in collaboration with the National Trust. In the film we look at Glendurgan’s 180 year old hedge maze and the team’s efforts to restore it.
This was a really fun film to make; working with the National Trust was incredible, everyone that we spoke to was really friendly and accommodating. It was also amazing to be able to work in such a beautiful location, despite the hills that we had to drag equipment up and down! It was especially amazing considering we were shooting whilst the gardens were closed for the winter, which meant that we were completely alone to enjoy the amazing scenery (apart from a few gardeners!)
Overall, I’m very happy with how the film turned out. It’s available to watch now on Vimeo. And if you happen to be in the area, please do take the time to visit Glendurgan Gardens. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!!
